This prevents painful cuts and scratches caused by protruding strap ends. Do not use plastic cable straps in high-temperature areas (above 250º F). HIGH-TEMPERATURE PRESSURE-SENSITIVE TAPE LACING High-temperature, pressure-sensitive tape must be used to tie wire bundles in areas where the temperature may exceed 250º F. Install the tape as follows (figure 2-52): 1.    Wrap the tape around the wire bundle three times, with a two-thirds overlap for each turn. 2.    Heat-seal the loose tape end with the side of a soldering iron tip.
